Covet rock a zombie prom in "Farewell" music video

Math rock outfit Covet have unveiled their music video for “Farewell” today.

The band shot the zombie prom music video back in February, and a ton of fans came to be part of the visual. Commenting on the music video shoot, vocalist Yvette Young said:

“It means so much to us that so many of you traveled so far and volunteered your time to us. I also wanted to remark on how beautiful it was for us to witness all our fans being so supportive of each other, clapping after every take and smiling and cheering for each other. It just meant a lot to celebrate the whole creative process together and have the day culminate to such a positive bonding experience. We had a blast and we hope you guys did too.”

“Farewell” stems from Covet’s new studio album technicolor, which is out now on Triple Crown Records.

Covet drop their first song with vocals in "Parachute"

Today, math rockers Covet unveiled their new song “parachute,” and unlike their previously released music, this song includes vocals.

Frontwoman Yvette Young, who delivers vocals, knew the song needed something extra. “I remember I wrote it basically in one sitting and immediately I heard that it needed lyrics. My whole rule for writing is to never rule anything out, as long as it serves the music… so here we are, at Covet’s first departure from being instrumental,” Young said in a statement. “The song is about taking a risk for yourself and stepping away from something or something that once made you feel safe, only to realize that you never needed any of it in the first place. We hope you enjoy it and that it uplifts you.” The music video for the track, which can be seen below, was directed by Tom Flynn.

Pre-orders for technicolor can be made here. The 10-track release, which arrives on June 5 via Triple Crown Records, also features their previous single “Nero.” This is the follow up to their 2018 debut album effloresce.
